Happy Birthday to Onceuponafibrotime!!
14th September 2015 seems like such a long time ago, and whilst I have not been the most consistent of bloggers I am proud of what I have created here. I have never really stuck at anything, I have made blogs before but never been passionate about it the way I am in which this one! I can see me writing this blog forever, its about my life juggling the ups and downs of Fibro with studying, working, caring for nan as well as mum and also looking after myself, Whilst trying to decide what my future looks like.
The best thing about blogging is the response I get from people who read what I write, and then how in some cases that response has lead to a conversation that has developed into a friendship. One of my best friends today is a woman who left five comments on my blog over one night about 18 months ago. If I hadn’t started this little piece of the internet I may not have her in my life! Blogging has given me loads more confidence, I am lucky to have a nice amount of followers on the twitter page aside the blog and it gives me somewhere to go chat when I need to, in reverse I hope I am there for the people who need me on twitter when they come. I am so proud to be a member of the spoonie community.
The next year will be about me continuing to work on my masters, completing it, completing my dissertation around disability within the construction industry. I will also be seeing STEPS TWICE!! 😀 so I am sure there will be posts about that. On a more serious note, there will be posts about my continuing journey helping out nan throughout her dementia journey. Life is good, I can see the future being bright… I naturally have my down days and they are fewer than before, however I am so excited to see how the future will pan out once I have finished university..
Where is my career going to take me?
What will I write about on here in the next year?
Lets find out 🙂
Thank you once again to all the people who have come here and read any of my posts in the last 2 years – it really does mean the world to me!
